Job Description
Ridge View Residential College (RVRC) is a vibrant "living-and-learning" community of around 650 NUS students. Students participate in a two-year academic programme that complements their majors by supporting four of the NUS General Education pillars. This programme is integrated into the day-to-day life of the College, with a strong focus on sustainability and workplace readiness. RVRC's educational mission is to cultivate students who are intellectually inquisitive, keen to grow, future-oriented, and value social and environmental responsibility.
RVRC seeks to appoint up to two committed individuals to complement our team of educators. The successful applicant will teach interdisciplinary courses, contribute to curriculum design and development, and engage in out-of-classroom learning and other student-centric pedagogies anchored in the different forms of sustainability and workplace readiness. The appointee will also contribute to the College's students in various living-and-learning activities, including advising and mentoring. We are specifically seeking applicants with expertise in the economic aspects of sustainability and/or aspects of workplace readiness, along with strong interdisciplinary capabilities and a passion for their field. The ideal applicant must work well in a team and be committed to student learning, supporting students in their university life, and preparing them for post-college experiences. The successful applicant will be employed as a full-time RVRC faculty member on the University's Educator Track, with the appointment targeted for January 2026.

Responsibilities:
- Design and teach academic interdisciplinary courses, preferably with a focus on the economics of sustainable development, ESG frameworks, and/or aspects of workplace readiness.
- Engage students in out-of-classroom learning (including outdoor learning).
- Mentor students in formal and informal learning settings.
- Support the College's mission through service contributions, including leading living-and-learning initiatives.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- A PhD (or equivalent). Candidates with teaching experience at the tertiary level are preferred.
- Fully embracing of interdisciplinary, integrative teaching in and beyond the classroom.
- Motivation and reflectiveness as an educator.
- Adaptability to dynamic working environments.
- Passion for student growth and success.
- Enthusiasm to engage students in a living-and-learning programme.
- Interest in organising and participating in out-of-classroom learning activities.
