  • Full-time appointment on a tenurable basis.
  • Base salary range: Level B, $118,150 – $139,812 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.

About the area

The School of Health and Clinical Sciences at The University of Western Australia is a research-intensive academic organisation giving material expression to the belief that excellence in research underpins excellence in teaching and community partnerships. The Department of Social Work and Social Policy is located in the School and offers a two-year postgraduate Master of Social Work, a four-year undergraduate Bachelor of Social Work along with Higher Degree by Research options

About the opportunity

  • Sourcing and securing student field placements for the Master and Bachelor of Social Work.
  • Extensive practice experience and strong networks within the health and human service sectors
  • Deliver quality teaching and unit coordination in social work

About you

  • At least five years social work practice experience in a relevant industry setting.
  • High-level self-management skills with the ability to efficiently work on multiple tasks simultaneously and meet required deadlines.
  • Experience in the supervision of social work students on field placements.
  • Knowledge of and strong networks within the health and human services sectors.
  • Experience in the provision of placements in a tertiary environment including ability to develop appropriate systems and processes.
