LECTURER / SENIOR LECTURER (OPEN RANK)
DIVISION OF NUTRITIONAL SCIENCES
The Division of Nutritional Sciences (DNS) at Cornell University invites applications for a full-time Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer or Teaching Professor (non-tenure track faculty) position in Epidemiology. This teaching position is a 12-month position, appointed for three or five years (beginning as soon as possible), and is renewable. Full time lecturers are expected to teach 5-6 courses per year.
The successful candidate will have primary teaching responsibilities in epidemiology at the undergraduate and graduate levels. This position also includes opportunities to develop or co-teach advanced courses in epidemiology and public health.
This position is ideally suited for an individual with a strong background in higher education, who is committed to excellence in teaching, curriculum development, and student mentorship at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Required Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in Epidemiology or related field.
- Demonstrated track record in teaching epidemiology at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
- Commitment to inclusive learning environments and excellence in higher education.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional training in biostatistics, public health, nutrition, or related fields.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teaching teams.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Familiarity with biological, medical, nutrition, and/or public health research.
