About This Opportunity
The School of Political Science and International Studies (POLSIS) is seeking an inspiring and innovative educator to join our dynamic teaching team as a Lecturer (Teaching Focused) in Peace and Conflict Studies.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate academic with expertise in Peace and Conflict Studies (PACS) to make a significant contribution to teaching excellence within one of Australia's leading political science and international studies schools. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programs, inspire students through contemporary curriculum design, and engage in evidence-based pedagogical practices. They will also play an important role in supporting student success and contributing to the continued growth and development of the discipline.
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Teaching: Develop and deliver courses, tutorials and workshops/seminars, engage in curriculum design, coordinate courses, assess students, provide academic counselling, and adhere to university teaching rules.
- Citizenship and Service: Demonstrate leadership through mentoring, engage in internal service roles and committees, perform administrative functions, provide support to colleagues, and uphold university values.
