The competition is open to each candidate who meets the requirements set out in the Higher Education and Science Act of July 20th 2018 (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668 as amended) and the Statute of University of Wroclaw.
Requirements
The candidate is required to have:
- Have teaching experience at academic level in the area of social communication and media studies;
- Speak sufficient Polish, which would enable them to teach students at academic level, whereas a good command of English is recommended;
- Be available to fulfil teaching duties (conducting classes for full-time and part-time students) and organizational responsibilities at the Institute of Information and Media Studies.
Responsibilities
In the teaching area
- Teaching courses on: cultural heritage, the promotion of culture, the functioning of GLAM institutions (especially libraries), the history of books and libraries, language culture, web writing, Polish literature, and world literature.
In the organisational area
- Organising academic conferences.
- Activities aimed at popularising science.
- Promoting the Institute of Information and Media Studies on social media. participating in the organisation of academic conferences, editing academic publications, popularising science, participating in other organisational work.

- A photocopy of a diploma certifying obtaining an MA (or higher) degree.

- An overview of professional accomplishments containing a description of the candidate’s research, teaching and organisational activities
- Application for employment addressed to His Magnificence the Rector.
- Declaration in connection with Article 113 of the Higher Education and Science Act (download Declaration – Article 113).
