Lecturers in Law

The Liverpool Law School seeks to appoint up to eight permanent academic positions at Lecturer level. These Teaching and Research posts are open to individuals with demonstrable potential for research excellence of at least international excellence in terms significance, originality and rigour and exciting plans for developing their research profile into the future to a world leading level in terms of originality, significance and rigour.  You will share our commitment to a positive student experience at the University of Liverpool, in particular, underpinned by a commitment to excellence in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching through engaging and/or innovative teaching methods.  You will also be willing to undertake research supervision at postgraduate level.

The Law School is committed to nurturing and supporting research leadership; you will distinguish yourself through your potential to play a central role in departmental life and the wider Faculty.

For all posts, the willingness and ability to contribute to teaching and learning in popular undergraduate subjects is essential. An interest in postgraduate teaching would also be welcome. Applicants able to make a contribution to the student experience in one or more of the following areas would be particularly welcome: Property Law (Equity and Trusts; Land Law); Criminal Law (including Criminal Evidence); Law & Technology; Commercial/Corporate Law (broadly defined, e.g. corporate governance; arbitration law; banking law etc).
