The Management Discipline Group within the UTS Business School is inviting applications for a Lecturer (Level B) or Senior Lecturer (Level C) to join the team on a fixed term basis for 5 months, covering a parental leave.
About the role
As the Lecturer/Senior Lecturer, you will primarily focus on education, with duties divided across teaching and education related activities, service and engagement initiatives, and research and associated responsibilities. The primary objective is to educate and inspire students about various facets of management, including operations, marketing, governance, and social impact. The role aims to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in their management careers. Emphasis is placed on innovative teaching methods, curriculum development, and utilising online resources to enhance the learning experience in the fields of management.
The core responsibilities include delivering effective instruction, implementing diverse teaching techniques, facilitating online learning experiences, and designing educational curricula to enrich students' learning journeys. The role is also expected to contribute significantly to teaching and learning practices within the Management Department. The role also dedicates a substantial portion of their time to academic service, which may involve contributions to academic administration, supervision of adjunct staff, engagement within relevant professions and disciplines, community involvement, and participation in philanthropic, alumni, media, and communications activities.
The immediate teaching needs of this role includes coverage of industrial relations, business ethics and sustainability subjects.
To be successful in the role, you will have;
• A PhD in Management or related field (essential)
• Comprehensive understanding of management principles, theories, and practices, with a focus on industrial relations, business ethics and sustainability
• Extensive teaching experience in Management
• Proficiency in designing and updating curriculum for management courses, ensuring alignment with industry standards and emerging trends
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster collaborative learning environments, engage with students and colleagues, and present research findings effectively

Remuneration/Salary![]()
Base Salary Range: $127,119 - $177,464 pa (Level B/C)
This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.
This position is full-time and an appointment will be made on a fixed term basis for 5 months, covering a parental leave.
