Required Education

Applicants must have earned a doctorate in a relevant life science discipline (e.g., biotechnology, genetics, plant/animal sciences, entomology, or related fields).

Job Summary

Responsibilities: This is a 12-month, non-tenure eligible Lecturer appointment with approximately 80% instruction, 15% career and professional development mentoring, and 5% service responsibilities. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2026 or January 1, 2027.

Instruction: Key teaching assignments include ABT 101, ABT 180, ABT 301, ABT 360, ABT 361, AFE 100, and either AES or ENT courses depending on specialty.

Career & Professional Development Mentoring: Serve as primary mentor for pre-med students.

Service: Expected at department, college, university, and professional levels.

QUALIFICATIONS

Doctorate in relevant life science discipline. Preferred: excellence in undergraduate instruction, mentoring experience (especially pre-health), strong communication, laboratory course design experience. Desirable: curriculum development in genetics, biotechnology, plant breeding, forensic entomology, AI in life sciences.

Rank and Salary

Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level. Salary commensurate with experience.
