Job Description
The Assistant Director of Student Recruitment is a full-time administrative faculty position designed to recruit and enroll associate, undergraduate, and graduate students. The Assistant Director of Student Recruitment will work as a key member of Academic Programs in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, a diverse organization that includes over 3,600 students in over 20 majors and associate and graduate degrees. of Student Recruitment will apply a strategic vision to lead recruiting and promotion initiatives to facilitate enrollment growth for incoming associate, undergraduate, and graduate students across the College.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with equivalent experience
- Experience in recruitment or admissions
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate and support events or student-facing programming
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on relationship-building with students and families
- Knowledge of social media advertising strategies and management
- Ability to supervise student interns
- Experience in complex project management
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently without excessive supervision or follow-up
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends and the ability to travel occasionally
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in an applicable field
- Experience with digital advertising and analytics
- Experience with marketing and outreach via social media
- Experience using a CRM (customer relationship management) system
- Intermediate data analysis and Excel skills to support strategy development
- Demonstrated skills in event planning and coordination
