Job Description

We seek to appoint a Professional Teaching Fellow, to predominantly support Pre-registration mental health teaching in the School of Nursing. The School of Nursing is productive and innovative and strives to provide the most relevant and up to date nursing education possible for its students.
The position has a focus on mental health and addiction teaching in the Pre-registration Nursing programmes. An ability to teach in other areas of the pre-registration programmes is also required. There is opportunity to oversee Te Ao Māori across all our mental health and addiction postgraduate offerings.
The role involves some travel to deliver clinical supervision across the wider Auckland region
There is the opportunity for you to be involved in research activities within the School and this role could offer a pathway into a research role in the future for the right candidate.

Qualifications
A story about | About you
- You will have experience in mental health and/or addiction nursing
- You will have teaching experience, including facilitating student learning, supervising and assessing students’ work and evaluating course content and delivery.
- You will have a current clinical background.
- In addition to a recognised postgraduate qualification, you will hold NZ Nursing Council registration, with a current NZ practising certificate.
- Candidates for Lecturer must be research active with a satisfactory publication record
