Key Responsibilities

• Conduct class instruction for the Electrical Apprenticeship program.
• Prepare and mark assignments, projects, and exams for students.
• Provide student advising and support to facilitate learning and career development.
• Develop curriculum materials and update course content as needed.
• Maintain a safe and organized learning environment in the workshop and classroom.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in the field.
• Collaborate with colleagues and industry partners to enhance program quality.
• Participate in program assessments and accreditation processes.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to apprentices during classroom training.
• Assist in the recruitment and retention of students in the program.

Job Requirements

• Journeyperson Electrical certificate and Red Seal qualification.
• Minimum of five years of post-certification experience.
• Demonstrated teaching or training experience, preferably in an educational setting.
• Knowledge of curriculum development principles and instructional strategies.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures in the industry.

Additional Information

This is a Sessional Full-time Faculty appointment at our Vermilion campus commencing October 1, 2024, until June 30, 2025.
