Join our dynamic Library Experience team and play a key role in creating welcoming, inclusive, and student-focused library services. You’ll be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking team that supports learning, research, and community engagement, delivering high-quality experiences across library spaces, collections, and digital services. This is your opportunity to make a real impact on students’ academic journeys while developing your skills in a supportive and innovative environment.

Who you are

You are a friendly, adaptable, and service-focused professional who thrives in a busy frontline setting. You take pride in delivering high-quality experiences and enjoy helping students, staff, and the wider community navigate library services, spaces, and resources. With a curiosity for learning and emerging technologies, you are confident using library systems, digital tools, and information resources to support student success. You bring a positive, proactive approach to problem-solving, and are motivated to contribute to a welcoming, inclusive, and innovative library environment.

What you'll do

As a Library Experience Officer, you will be at the heart of creating a positive and seamless experience for students, staff, and library visitors. On a day-to-day basis, you’ll provide expert support at the service desk, across digital platforms, and within library spaces, helping users access collections, resources, and services efficiently. You’ll maintain and improve self-help guides, contribute to service improvement initiatives, and collaborate with colleagues on projects that enhance library spaces, collections, and technology.

In your first 6–12 months, you’ll make a tangible impact by ensuring smooth service delivery, supporting student success, and identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve user experiences. This role offers the chance to develop your skills in library operations, project work, and digital systems, while contributing to an inclusive, innovative, and student-focused environment where your work directly supports UniSQ’s mission of learning, research, and community engagement.

What will help you succeed

To thrive in this role, you will bring relevant experience in library or information services, customer service, or a related field, and a genuine commitment to delivering a positive, student-focused experience. You are confident using library systems, digital tools, and information resources, and have the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and processes. Strong communication and interpersonal skills will help you collaborate effectively with colleagues and support diverse users, while attention to detail and problem-solving skills ensure accurate, timely, and compliant service delivery. A positive, flexible, and proactive approach will help you succeed in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
