Position Description

Provides individual, family, and group counseling services to patients to address various mental health and wellness-related issues. Conducts assessments and helps patients to problem-solve areas of need. Helps to develop coping strategies and action-based goals and objectives for patients. May specialize in a particular area of counseling.

Major/Essential Functions

• Provides individual, family, and group counseling services to patients to address various mental health and wellness-related issues.
• Conducts assessments and develops treatment plans to address patient needs.
• Assist with the implementation of evidence-based models of care.
• Participates in scheduled case staff meetings.
• Ensure counseling codes of ethics are enforced in all aspects of counseling services.
• Develops individualized treatment plan, in accordance with established standards, consistent with assessment and in conjunction with patients and family, to include goals, intervention, necessary support or referral service.
• Documents patient discharge plans.
• Maintains communication with Mental Health Clinical Supervisor, as well as patient family members or legal guardians.
• Updates productivity reports.
• Maintains and updates professional knowledge and proficiency through continuing education, staff meetings, workshops, and serving on special committees.

Required Qualifications

Education: Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or related field.
Experience: 3 years of related experience
Licenses/Certificates: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Professional Counselor - Associate (LPC - A), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) must be working towards LCSW, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist - Associate (LMFT-A), Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA)

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of behavioral health evidence-based counseling practices with all ages and telehealth service delivery.
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
