"Limited Term Appointment (LTA) Faculty Position at the Assistant Level in Sport Management"

The Kinesiology & Physical Education Department at Wilfrid Laurier University invites applications for a 2-year Limited Term Appointment (LTA) faculty position at the Assistant level Sport Management beginning September 1, 2026, subject to budgetary approval. The primary campus location for this position is Waterloo; however, teaching responsibilities may include instruction at the Brantford, Milton campuses via in-person or virtual delivery.

Anticipated Salary Range: $90,000 to $125,000. Actual salary to be commensurate with experience.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Contribute to teaching various sport management courses at the undergraduate level including but not limited to: Organization and Administration of Sport and Physical Activity, Marketing in Sport and Physical Activity, Canadian Sport Policy and Governance, Gender and Media in Sport, Innovation in Sport Organizations, Leadership in Sport Management
• Ability to teach in the areas of Sociology of Sport is an asset
• Research specialization and expertise within the field of Sport Management
• Collaborate and engage with other faculty members within the department and Faculty of Science
• Contribute to the department and institutional culture through service

Qualifications include a PhD specialized in Sport Management or related field.
