Job Summary
Limited-term lecturer will teach 15 contact hours each semester (fall and spring) with no expectation for research or service, although those opportunities are available if interested. Primary teaching responsibilities include teaching a variety of introductory courses for majors (BIOL 1107K, BIOL 1108K) and non-majors (BIOL 1215K). Opportunities to teach upper division courses in their area of expertise would also be available. depending on need.
Responsibilities
Significant Duties & Responsbilities include: Teach lecture and lab courses as assigned.; Maintain office hours and be reasonably available to students.; Participate in department meetings.; Work with other faculty and staff collegially to promote student success.; Order and receive materials for courses being taught in collaboration with lab manager.; Maintain equipment and supplies for courses being taught in collaboration with lab manager.; Oversee graduate assistants assigned to as lab support in courses being taught.; Other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Required Qualifications include: M.S. degree in the life sciences (Biology, Evolution, Ecology) is required. Years of experience teaching will be considered in the absence of a Ph.D. degree.

Preferred Qualifications include: Ph. D. degree in the life sciences (Biology, Evolution, Ecology) is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities include: Experience teaching lectures and labs in an undergraduate setting is expected.; Experience working as a team member where all are focused on the same goal and mission.
