Salary Range: Up to $47,000 annualized, commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.

Job Summary
The Logistics Coordinator provides the managerial skills required to operate the Surplus Property Department. This role ensures compliance with institutional, UT System, and governmental policies while promoting cost-effective practices and efficient space utilization.
Core Responsibilities
- Manages the day-to-day operations of the Surplus Property Department, which is responsible for collecting, redistributing, and disposing of all property that has become surplus to the University's needs.
- Oversees all auction-related functions, including photographing and staging materials.
- Manages the storage and disposal of surplus property in a manner that promotes cost containment and redistribution across the campus community while balancing inventory with available warehouse space.
- Ensures that departmental operations conform to institutional policies, UT System Board of Regents rules, University policies, and local, state, and federal laws.
- Reviews all departmental forms to ensure all surplus property turn-ins, redistributions, disposals, and hard-drive
- Destructions are properly documented and recorded in the University's property management systems.
- Develops service-level metrics and tracks cost-containment data for ad hoc and quarterly management reporting.
- Cross-trains, coaches, and mentors Surplus Property Department staff, with support from the Distribution Manager, to ensure workloads are balanced with skillsets across the department and to support achievement of operational goals in a safe, efficient manner.
- Ensures custodial records are updated in PeopleSoft Asset Management when capital and controlled assets are transferred to Surplus Property or disposed of via public online auction.
- Attends and participates in Facilities Project meetings to discuss and plan for renovation and/or relocation projects that involve surplus property.
- Oversees the image capture and upload of gently used surplus property to ensure property available for re-distribution may be viewed, requested, and transferred to members of the campus community upon request.
- Disseminates important policy and procedure information to subordinate staff.
- Suggests and implements processes to facilitate workflow and provide superior service to the campus community.
- Develops ad-hoc reports using data from Excel, PeopleSoft, and WiseTrack.
- Conducts the annual physical verification of the department's capital and controlled inventory.
- Promotes safety and environmental protection by immediately reporting unsafe situations, spills, and accidents; following University safety plans/procedures/protocols; and participating in appropriate safety training.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Three (3) years of related work experience.
- This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.

Working Conditions
Frequent exposure to adverse weather conditions and hazards such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and loud noise. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required. Frequent travel to various campus locations to inspect equipment and supervise equipment transfers of surplus furniture and equipment.
Physical Demands
Ability to exert up to 50 pounds to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Ability to lift with or without accommodations. Repeated kneeling, stooping, walking, and sitting for extended periods of time. Ability to crawl under desks/furniture for inspection of cables and troubleshooting purposes.
This position will work primarily on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
