Introduction to the School of International Education

The School of International Education (SIE) at Beijing University of Chemical Technology is dedicated to cultivating high-quality talents with a global perspective.

Currently, SIE has two China-American undergraduate cooperative education programs:

• Bioengineering Engineering (Foreign University Major: Bioprocess Engineering), and Mechanical Design,
• Manufacturing and Its Automation (Foreign University Major: Robotics and Mechatronic Systems Engineering).

To further enhance teaching quality and strengthen the international faculty team, we are now openly recruiting 1–2 long-term international faculty worldwide. Outstanding talents are sincerely welcome to join us!

Position

• Long-term International Faculty (to teach courses in Bioengineering Engineering and Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Its Automation)

Responsibilities

1. Conduct full-English teaching for professional courses in Bioengineering Engineering and Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Its Automation;
2. Deliver lectures on cutting-edge disciplinary developments and share international academic trends and practical experience;
3. Actively participate in disciplinary development and assist in developing internationalized curriculum and teaching resources;
4. Organize or participate in student academic activities, subject competitions, and international exchange programs;
5. Fulfill other teaching-related and research tasks as assigned by SIE.

Qualifications

1. Hold a Ph.D. in Bioengineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or related fields (exceptional Master’s degree candidates may be considered under certain circumstances);
2. Have at least 2 years of teaching experience in higher education or scientific research institutions; native English speakers are preferred;
3. Be familiar with the teaching mode of cooperative education programs and able to adapt to a cross-cultural work environment;
4. Have a passion for education, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to interact effectively with students and inspire their interest in learning;
5. Be willing to work long-term in China (at least one contract period of 2 years), in good physical and mental health.

Salary and Payment

1. Teaching allowance (to be discussed in person), social insurance contributions according to Chinese policies;
2. On-campus apartment or housing allowance provided; assistance with work visa and residence permit processing;
3. Paid winter and summer vacations, holiday benefits, and international round-trip travel allowance.

2. Scanned copies of degree certificates and the first page of passport;
3. Two recommendation letters from experts with the title of associate professor or above in relevant fields
4. Teaching syllabus for at least one proposed course (see the list of proposed courses below).

Principles of Mass and Energy Balances, Introduction to Process Engineering, Process Control, Biomolecular Kinetics, Colloid Interface Science, Chemical Engineering Thermo-dynamics, Introduction to Industrial Bio-processing, Introduction to Microcontrollers, Fundamentals of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Digital Logic Circuits, Statics, Computing Methods, Probability and Statistics, Fundamentals and applications of Matlab, Differential Equations.
