Chengdu University (CDU) is a comprehensive university running by the Chengdu Municipal Government that offers regular undergraduate education. Chengdu University serves more than 21,000 full-time undergraduate, postgraduate, and overseas students in various educational programs at 16 colleges, including Engineering, Liberal Arts, Pedagogy and Art, Management, Law, Science, Economics, Medicine and Agriculture. Up to now, Chengdu University has established partnerships with over 30 institutions from more than 20 countries all over the world.

Chengdu University is now inviting applications for visiting professor, research associate, and postdoctoral fellows.

Ideal candidates:

• Ph.D. degree in area of expertise or equivalent advanced degree from well-known international universities;
• Record of excellence in scholarship and achievement;
• Distinguished publishing record of publications is essential;
• Record of teaching in areas of expertise in English is required.

Appointment type:

Full time: works at least 9 months in Chengdu University each year

Part-time: works 1-3 months in Chengdu University each year

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with faculties of Chengdu University on research and publish high quality research work in internationally well recognized journals;
• Help Chengdu University with discipline construction;
• Teach undergraduate/graduate courses and give seminars;
• Other teaching and research responsibilities as agreed by both parties.

Compensation:

Full time: 200K-500K RMB/year
Part time: 20K-50K RMB/month

Chengdu University provides accommodation (The rent is covered in the salary) during the visiting and reimburses roundtrip ticket (economic class) once a year.

• Proof of honors and patents;
• Full article of three representative research publications and the first page of all other publications listed;
• Proof of citation of all the SCI、EI、SSCI、AHCI、CSSCI publications;
• Invitation letters of international conferences for invited presentations;
