Position Introduction:
The Sooner Advanced Manufacturing Laboratory's Machinist will support the fabrication and integration of components using additive and traditional manufacturing equipment available in the lab. This individual will program and operate various metal additive manufacturing, and CNC machines to produce finished components, fixturing, and tooling integral to the production of various engineering systems. This individual will also assist in electrical and mechanical integration to support research projects and educational activities.

Required Education and Experience:
- Associate's degree.
- 30 months of machinist, electronics or engineering experience.
Department Preferences:
- Understanding of additive manufacturing, especially metal-related Proficiency in SolidWorks or Fusion Proficiency in machining operations, cutter geometrics based on materials, orders of operations, and concepts
