JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in facilities maintenance, ensuring that all equipment and systems operate efficiently. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery, equipment, and facilities to ensure optimal performance.
- Fabricate and weld parts as needed to support machinery repairs and enhancements.
- Conduct inspections of equipment to identify potential issues before they become significant problems.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and management.
- Supervise maintenance staff when required, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed, including parts used and time spent on tasks.
- Troubleshoot and repair various mechanical systems related to the processing line, including logic controllers, HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical components.
- Be comfortable with electrical work while also showing strong mechanical skills.
EXPERIENCE:
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role is essential (manufacturing or industrial industry strongly preferred)
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose and repair various types of equipment.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and management.
- Leadership skills with the capability to supervise others when necessary.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a logical approach to troubleshooting issues.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time, hourly (eligible for overtime)
Work Location: In person @ Stewart Glass
Production Schedule:
- Night Shift 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (shift differential for nights)
- All Shifts: 4 days on, 4 days off
- Each employee gets roughly 104 OT hours paid at 1.5x base rate per year with 4 on 4 off schedule.
