Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred. Four (4) years
of related maintenance or construction experience. At least
three (3) years of experience in a related trade area.
Ability to perform semi-skilled maintenance and repair work
independently. Ability to read and follow instructions,
plans, and service documentation. Ability to lift up to 70
lbs and perform physically demanding work.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Valid driver’s license (Maryland Class C or equivalent).
EPA or environmental certifications may be required depending on
assignment (e.g., CFC handling).
Asbestos awareness or related training may be required.
OSHA safety training preferred.
Conditions of Employment:
- Candidates selected for employment may be subject to medical
inquiries and/or medical examinations to determine ability to
perform the job. Valid Maryland Non-commerical Class C or
equivalent driver's license may be required. Candidates selected
for employment may be required to be trained to work with asbestos.
Employees in this job class assigned to work with equipment
containing CFC refrigerants must achieve and maintain valid
certification in accordance with federal law.
This position is an essential function/employee position. Employees
in this classification will be required to report to work or remain
at work during inclement weather and/or other campus events or
emergencies.
