About the Role:
The Designer, Student Communications will work as part of the Student Communications and Service Excellence team, which sits within the Chief Student Officer portfolio. The Chief Student Officer portfolio has responsibility for domestic and international students, studying vocational or higher education at VU. We support end-to-end student lifecycle operations and student systems management across VU.
This is an exciting opportunity to establish your design career in the tertiary education sector. You will apply your exceptional design skills to a wide range of communication campaigns. Your creativity, adaptability and organisational skills will ensure that our students are informed, engaged and ready to succeed. You will work as part of a tight-knit team of professionals to brainstorm solutions and see your creations come to life across digital, print and on-campus channels.
This is a full-time position at a HEP 5 classification with salary range being $73,852 (per annum) - $84,831 (per annum) plus 17% superannuation, working 36.75 hours per week over a continuing contract period.
Duties:
Some of the duties you are expected to perform are:
Design and produce online collateral such as social posts, digital screens, and eDM banners
Produce Monthly Student Life Newsletter
Assist in the design/layout of eDMs

Are a qualified designer who is ready to embark on a career in the university sector.
Possess the ability to work easily with others and follow directions, while also taking initiative to solve problems and create solutions.
Are Highly organised, efficient, adaptable, flexible, and proactive.
Wants to work on a wide range of tasks and would like to see their creations come to life across a variety of channels.
