Job Description:

This position is responsible for daily maintenance and repair of campus buildings and equipment. Performance of maintenance activities support the department’s mission to ensure buildings and equipment operate as true assets in support of University and individual career goals. The incumbent is responsible for meeting work schedules, and service requests, by providing effective and efficient maintenance workmanship.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must possess a High School diploma or equivalent GED.
• Department of Labor or equivalent journeyman Maintenance Repair Worker certificate or associate degree or technical school certificate and three (3) or more years related experience.
• To effectively perform the functions of this position, the incumbent must have knowledge and skill in leadership, building and equipment maintenance, safely operate hand and power tools, use mathematics, cooperate with others and have the ability to solve problems. An understanding of building layout, terminology, university and maintenance operations, policy, and procedures is necessary.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and insurable under University driving policy.
