Purpose of the Position:

This position is primarily responsible for providing building maintenance repairs to the Freeman Center and Pope Chapel ensuring the buildings are kept in clean and in good working condition.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Related to Position:

• Ability to manage and supervise repairs and maintenance tasks in the following trades areas: electrical, carpentry, plumbing/steam fitting, HVAC systems, kitchen equipment and bleacher systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others
• Ability to create daily schedules and have the ability to lead housekeeping/maintenance
• Skilled in the use of a computer
• Ability to respond to on-call emergency repairs as needed

Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification Required:

Education: High school graduate or equivalent education/experience that equates to a high school diploma. Valid driver’s license.

Experience: Experience performing building maintenance. Experience supervising employees.

Additional Consideration(s):

Education: Bachelor’s degree or Vocational training in building maintenance trades

Experience: Experience working in a university/college setting. Experience purchasing supplies and/or materials

Salary Information: Salary starting at $54,827 to $68,534, Commensurate with Education and Experience
