This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS).

NON-COMPETITIVE (NY HELPS) MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Two years of first-level supervisory experience in either the maintenance and operation of a physical plant; building construction; and/or building renovation and/or repair projects.

OPERATING NEEDS: Ability to manage a staff of 15 or more and workload for multiple Downtown campus locations; obtain and maintain a working understanding of all ITM requirements of all direct reports including but not limited to fire alarm systems, fire and smoke door inspections, vertical fire doors and shutters, emergency lights and exit lights, portable fire extinguishers, emergency power systems, fire pumps, water-based fire protection systems, emergency showers, eyewash and drench hoses, fire hydrants, evacuation drills, and fire protection backflow preventers.
