The Management and Languages PhD programme from Heriot-Watt University Dubai offers opportunities for research in areas such as Islamic business, international human resource management, cross-cultural management, equality and diversity, emiratisation and other nationalisation policies, marketing, sustainability, accounting, finance and corporate governance.
Key facts:
- Students who were enrolled at the point that the License was granted in January 2023 will be eligible to apply to have their degree certificate attested by the Ministry of Education once their programme has been accredited by the CAA. This will apply even if the student has graduated before accreditation has been completed. We will contact all relevant alumni as programmes become accredited to let them know.

- Expatriate staff in organisations (experiences, organisational strategies, etc.)
- Diversity/Equality in organisations
- Emiratisation, Qatarisation (and any other nationalisation/localisation) policies
- Critical management, comparative management and Islamic management. Cross cultural management
- Electronic HRM (specifically internet recruitment)
