Manager, Assessment Operations
- Full time, continuing based on our Camperdown campus
- Provide strategic and operational leadership across the assessment cycle including examinations, results management, academic integrity, and academic appeals
- HEO 8 Base Salary $126,065 - $142,171 + 17% superannuation
About the opportunity

The Manager, Assessment Operations works with key academic and professional staff to lead teams that operationalise the assessment delivery cycle in the Business School, including exams, academic integrity, special arrangements, results processing, and appeals.
With a focus on compliance with policy and procedures and advising on their practical translation, alongside continuous improvement, the Manager, Assessment Operations acts as a link between Faculty and central PSUs to implement and refine centrally driven processes at a Faculty level, thereby supporting best practice delivery across the academic year.
Due to nature of assessments, this role will sometimes be required to work outside of core working hours (including occasionally at weekends).
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- advise on, lead and oversee high quality, compliant assessment delivery across the Faculty, including policy adherence, risk management, secure assessment processes and continuous improvement
- manage communication, collaboration and delivery with Faculty academic and professional staff, and central units, and contribute to working groups to support best practice assessment operations
- provide strong leadership and management of staff, including coaching, performance development, workforce planning, recruitment, and setting team priorities and standards.
About you
- extensive knowledge of university policies, procedures, administrative systems including LMS systems, compliance requirements and sector trends
- strong judgement, initiative, and problem solving skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively in high pressure periods
- proven ability to design, implement, and manage compliant administrative processes, systems, and risk mitigation strategies
- demonstrated capability in driving continuous improvement, efficiency, and new ways of working to enhance service delivery
- experienced leader with a track record of managing, motivating, and developing high performing teams in complex environments.
