Manager/Assistant Senior Manager, Corporate Communications Office
To globally enhance the brand and reputation of NUS Business School as a leading world-class university for business education, thought leadership and research. The role will undertake the key responsibility of conceptualising and executing branding and marketing communications initiatives and campaigns to create resonance with target audiences in key markets, thereby attracting them to our School.
Core Function:
To increase the awareness and mindshare of NUS Business School globally in support of driving more traffic from various key markets to the School.
- Create, manage and oversee the brand guidelines and assets across all touchpoints. As a brand custodian, it is also necessary to preserve the integrity of the NUS Business School brand and its narrative, in all applications.
- Coordinate and synergise the branding and publicity activities within the corporate communications department and possibly across the other departments, if needed.
- Develop and execute effective market specific branding and publicity initiatives and campaigns that support the School's business objectives.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to ideate possible initiatives that will elevate the School's brand globally.
- Monitor and analyse the performance of the various initiatives and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Generate sustained, positive media publicity for the School on key media and communication platforms in Southeast Asia and internationally, by working closely with internal and external stakeholders, industry and academic partners.
- Source and develop newsworthy stories and research initiatives, translating them into impactful op-eds, thought leadership pieces, and other media content to engage key audiences, including prospective students and faculty, the public, the NUS community, and supporters.
Other functions:
- Oversee the coordination of the NUS Business School Commencement Ceremony
Qualifications:
- Tertiary Education preferably a degree in mass communication, new media, marketing or business.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in communication, journalism, or public relations, preferably with agency experience.
- Strong regional expertise and well-established media relationships, particularly in Southeast Asia.
- Comprehensive understanding of the various mainstream and digital platforms and the know-how to integrate content and platforms for optimal audience engagement.
- Good knowledge and practical skills in media planning and marketing analytics.
- Proven experience producing monthly newsletters with consistency and quality.
- Demonstrated track record in thought leadership, with placements in global media.
- Established media contacts in Singapore and across Asia, with a clear ability to secure coverage.
- Adept at copywriting and customising the messages and visual assets for targeted marketing purposes.
