Job Title: Manager (Centre for Teaching, Learning and Technology)
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to each of the following key areas.
- Strategic Planning for web lecture and video streaming services
- Plan and manage the operational delivery of web lecture services.
- Propose innovative recording solutions for NUS learning spaces.
- Participate in the planning and execution of live streaming events, including NUS Commencement ceremonies
- Evaluation of AI or video tools for teaching and learning
- Conduct evaluation and testing of AI and video tools/applications for teaching and learning purposes.
- Coordinate cloud assessments, pilot run and collaborate with NUS IT for integration with Learning Management System
- Project Management
- Co-lead new and current projects, e.g. Service Resources System (SRS), Peer Review System, Live Captioning Services, In-video Quiz add-on, etc. and collaborate with various stakeholders such as NUS IT and Student Accessibility Unit
- Management of Self-recording room facilities
- Oversee and support campus self-recording services and facilities under the Blended Learning initiative.
- Responsibilities include managing the user booking system, providing technical assistance, and maintaining facilities.
- Liaise with vendors for new room installations and upgrade
- Management of Campus Video Management system
- Administer the video portal and provide user support.
- Evaluate and recommend new add-ons and tools.
- Manage content retention policies, usage reporting, and analytics.
- Ensure timely renewal and licensing of system.
- Oversee vendor relationships and service delivery
- Documentation and Administration
- Design and update operational guides
- Prepare pre-semester EDMs, where required
- Prepare tender or ITQ specifications for procurement, where necessary
- Prepare survey, technical documentation and testing reports
Requirements
- A recognised degree in Information Technology or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years’ technical experience in video technologies or a relevant field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Power Platform tools such as Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Apps.
- Familiar with Learning Management Systems (e.g., Canvas), video management platforms (e.g., Panopto), and ticketing systems will be an added advantage.
- Willing to work beyond regular office hours when required for live streaming events.
- Able to collaborate effectively within a technical team environment, problem-solve and manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
