Job Description
PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
The Manager, Dual Credit and Early College High School Programs is responsible for managing college, high school, and business relations, assisting schools in implementing the infrastructure and systems needed to support a sustainable college preparatory program and culture for all LSC students and prospective students, and to provide college planning curriculum and resources. The Manager, Dual Credit and Early College High School Programs works with deans, department chairs, various LSC departments, and high school personnel to ensure the instructional quality of dual credit programs. Assists with the development, implementation, marketing, and evaluation of dual credit. Participates in recruitment efforts and serves as a liaison for the college's dual credit program.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Assist campuses and schools in implementing the infrastructure, systems, and culture needed to support a sustainable college preparation/dual credit program
- Manages the dual Credit articulation and crosswalk process and provides resources for college faculty and staff; develops guidelines for dual credit offerings for both college and high school
- Maintains knowledge base of trends in college readiness and dual credit programs and monitors state, federal, and system guidelines related to P16 and college readiness to ensure compliance; provides updates to the Office of Academic Affairs and the colleges; researches and implements best practices of innovative dual credit partnerships for continuous improvement
- Coordinates periodic professional development and campus visits for school counselors, dual credit faculty, and other school personnel
- Reviews education affiliation, dual credit, and early college high school, college preparatory agreements; coordinates with the office of General Counsel to review Dual Credit and Early College High School legal policies and procedures and all agreements
- Collects, organizes, tracks, monitors, and reports student success date for Dual Credit program and Early College High Schools' completion and success rates; Compare outcomes to former dual credit students and current students; monitors behavioral records and tracks student complaints as well as student behavior inside and outside of the classroom
- Assists in the monitoring of dual credit class sections, course textbooks, POI and ePars for counselors and learning support personnel on the high school campus; Investigates dual credit concerns and issues to resolve with the school partner and/or college administration
- Acts as a liaison with the Student Services staff to help coordinate recruitment, admissions, and testing at area high schools as well as to develop forms and guidelines for dual credit with home-schooled students
- Works with Marketing & Communications to develop marketing materials
- Actively participates as an LSC representative on various committees, meetings, and conferences
- Participates in the strategic planning process by making recommendations for new and/or revised policies and procedures. Supports the College enrollment management goals for recruitment, enrollment, and retention of students, including enrolling a more diverse and inclusive student body
- Oversees compliance items related to Dual Credit
- Oversees the review of FAST eligible students to include assigning FAST book advances and collaborating with LSC stakeholders to submit FAST students for state reporting
- Oversees Student Service related functions to maintain consistency and support across all campuses to include advising, registration and admissions
- Responsible for other reasonable related duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
