Manager - Faculty Events and Networks (1-year contract) Faculty of Law

We are seeking an Events Management professional to join the Faculty Events & Networks team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end planning and delivery of high-quality Faculty events, ensuring an excellent stakeholder experience and providing secretariat support for Faculty networks.
Faculty Events
Oversee and manage the full spectrum of Faculty Events
- Plan events schedule with internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the Faculty’s units in the planning, execution and publicity of events.
- Develop and manage the Faculty’s event budget and finances.
- Plan and coordinate administrative briefs/programmes/event rundowns.
- Manage speakers, VIPs and participants.
- Oversee event logistics, vendor and manpower.
- Conduct post-event reporting and drive continuous Improvement.
Faculty Networks
Provides the full spectrum of administrative, governance and organizational support to Faculty Networks
- Perform the full range of secretariat duties.
- Manage the entire cycle of the networks’ membership including applications, renewal, payment and membership database.
- Plan and execute programmes and events, including meetings, seminars, conferences.
- Ensure good governance, regulatory compliance and accurate record keeping.
Please note that this is a 1-year contract role.
Requirements
- A good Bachelor’s degree.
- 3- 5 years of proven experience in event planning and project management, preferably within higher education, public sector, or professional services environments.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within teams.
- Proactive and has a strong sense of ownership and critical thinking skills.
- High level of flexibility, including the willingness to work evenings, weekends or travel internationally as required.
- Good knowledge of MS Office and event management platforms.
