Remuneration: $169,373 to $189,440 pa (HEW10) (inclusive of $143,122 to $160,079 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)

Location: Kelvin Grove (hybrid option available)

Open to: The ongoing position is open to current staff members of QUT who have ongoing full-time work rights in Australia. The fixed term appointment is open to current staff members who have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of the fixed-term appointment. Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Manager, HR Projects (Change) (2 positions available) to join Human Resources, People Services, Administrative Division.

Join our dynamic HR team as a Manager, HR Projects (Change), where you'll lead the design and implementation of organisational change initiatives, and other projects. This hands-on role involves partnering with business areas on organisational design, workforce planning, and preparing documentation to support change processes. You'll work closely with senior leaders and staff to ensure smooth, timely, and well-communicated transitions. In addition, you'll provide project management and leadership across a range of HR programs aligned with QUT’s People Strategy, contributing to strategic HR priorities.

What you need to succeed

  • A combination of relevant experience and/or education and training, equivalent to postgraduate qualifications in human resources or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience working with senior leadership in designing, delivering and implementing complex organisational change in support of business transformation.
  • Demonstrated experience applying appropriate project management skills within various contexts to plan, manage risk and deliver HR initiatives and activities.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to use, analyse and report on critical people metrics.
  • Demonstrated experience working as part of a team to manage shifting priorities and working across a broad range of initiatives and senior stakeholders to meet organisational needs and complete complex projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence, negotiate and build strong working relationships.
