Marketing Manager

Georgia State University is seeking a strategic, data-driven marketing leader to serve as Marketing Manager within The Graduate School. This role is responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing strategies that elevate the visibility, competitiveness, and enrollment growth of graduate programs.

Serving as a central marketing resource across colleges and schools, this position combines digital marketing strategy, data analytics, campaign execution, and cross-functional collaboration to drive measurable outcomes. The role also ensures alignment with institutional brand standards and leverages data to continuously optimize performance.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

Marketing Strategy & Campaign Execution

  • Develop and execute multi-channel marketing strategies to support graduate enrollment growth
  • Plan and manage integrated campaigns across paid and organic digital channels
  • Position programs competitively in the marketplace to increase awareness and enrollment
  • Ensure all marketing efforts align with university brand standards and messaging

Digital Marketing & Performance Optimization

  • Lead digital marketing initiatives including paid media, search, display, and social campaigns
  • Manage and optimize advertising budgets based on performance data and ROI
  • Oversee campaign execution, including audience targeting, creative development, and ad copy
  • Identify opportunities to improve campaign effectiveness and conversion performance

Analytics & Reporting

  • Conduct marketing analytics and performance tracking using key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Develop reports and dashboards to measure campaign success and inform decision-making
  • Use data insights to continuously refine strategy and improve outcomes
  • Ensure data-informed decision making across all marketing initiatives

Consultation & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as a strategic marketing consultant to colleges and academic units
  • Provide guidance on audience targeting, persona development, and campaign planning
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including faculty, leadership, and communications teams
  • Coordinate with external vendors, agencies, and media partners

Brand & External Visibility

  • Strengthen external visibility of graduate offerings through strategic marketing initiatives
  • Support storytelling, digital presence, and reputation-building efforts
  • Ensure consistency and quality across all marketing and communications outputs

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure marketing practices comply with relevant regulations (e.g., data privacy, GDPR,FTC)
  • Protect institutional reputation through accurate, ethical, and compliant communications

Qualifications :

Minimum Hiring Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in marketing, or a related field. Three years of related experience in marketing, communications, or digital strategy

Preferred Hiring Qualifications:

  • Experience in higher education marketing or enrollment marketing
  • Strong expertise in digital marketing, including SEO/SEM and paid media
  • Experience with marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, CRM platforms)
  • Proven ability to manage agency relationships and multi-channel campaigns
  • Demonstrated ability to translate data into actionable strategy

Salary offers will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications in relation to the Minimum Hiring Standards. Candidates earlier in their careers are typically offered salaries closer to the minimum of the hiring range, while those with more advanced or relevant experience may be considered for compensation at or above the hiring range.
