The Manager of Nursing Education directs all departmental functions and collaborates across the OSU Health System, quality department, and accreditation departments.

Position Summary

Manager of Nursing Education-Oncology is responsible for:

• Leading nursing and unlicensed staff educational programming, including orientation, in-service education, continuing education, and mandatory education.
• Development of annual budget to support Oncology nursing and patient education leading to positive Oncology patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Promotion of the ongoing professional development of Oncology nurses.
• Development and support of new product education and competencies.

Minimum Qualifications

For Hire: Master's degree in nursing required, Doctorate degree preferred.
Minimum of three years RN clinical experience and two years management experience in relevant care setting required. Current Ohio license as RN
Demonstrated ability to interact cooperatively and collaboratively with diverse groups.

Ongoing: Completes annual mandatory education requirements and maintains Ohio RN license. Stays abreast of developments in core content areas of oncology nursing and nursing education.
