Job Description:
The Football Photographer leads photography strategy and visual
storytelling for Ole Miss Football. This position plans, captures,
edits, and manages high-quality photography for gamedays,
practices, recruiting visits, studio sessions, player features,
special events, and other football program initiatives.
The Football Photographer creates visual content for recruiting,
social media, digital platforms, marketing, and football
communications while maintaining consistent photography standards
and brand quality. The role collaborates with football staff,
prospective student-athletes, and the creative team to enhance the
recruiting experience and support integrated creative
campaigns.
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute photography coverage for gamedays, practices,
recruiting visits, studio sessions, player features, special
events, and other program activities.
Produce high-quality photographic content for recruiting,
social media, digital platforms, marketing initiatives, and other
football communications.
Work directly with football staff and prospective
student-athletes to create photography that enhances the recruiting
experience.
Establish and maintain consistent photography standards and
visual quality across Ole Miss Football.
Manage photography workflows, including planning, shooting,
editing, organizing, and archiving content.
Collaborate with the Manager of Design Services and Manager of
Creative Video on larger campaigns and integrated creative
projects.
Assist with graphic design and other creative projects when
appropriate and as needed by the department.
Manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced,
deadline-driven environment. Help develop creative concepts and
visual approaches for major football initiatives and
campaigns.
Maintain and manage professional photography equipment and
ensure equipment is prepared and available for scheduled
coverage.
Mentor, supervise, and develop student interns and other
members of the creative team. Build strong working relationships
with football coaches, staff, student-athletes, athletics
department personnel, and external partners.
Contribute to the overall creative strategy and culture of the
Ole Miss Football creative department.
