The Manager, Facility Operations, leads and coordinates the daily
operation and maintenance of university facilities, ensuring
effective service delivery and operational excellence across all
campuses. Acts as a facilities liaison on behalf of Campus
Operations to provide oversight and quality assurance of services
provided by our third-party facilities contractor. Serves as the
primary point of contact for Fort Worth and Stephenville facilities
and supports all aspects of a full-service facility management
program and other areas of Campus Operations. Must be flexible to
work at any campus as needed.
Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00
p.m.; however, this position requires availability outside standard
business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as
needed to support university operations and events, as well as
travel between university campuses and other locations. Serves as
Campus Security Authority (CSA).
Responsibilities:
- Assists in the oversight of contracted facilities services,
including maintenance, custodial, grounds, environmental, and
construction-related activities.
Monitors facility conditions and operations; identifies,
reports, and coordinates resolution of maintenance repairs and
projects.
Ensures service quality and performance standards are
consistently met through quality assurance and quality control
efforts.
Coordinates repairs, maintenance activities, and operational
projects.
Fosters effective relationships with campus stakeholders,
service providers, and contractors to ensure responsive and
efficient service delivery.
Serves as primary contact for after-hours building emergencies,
and must be able to promptly respond in person, on site, to
after-hours building emergencies.
Manages building proctors and coordinate facility-related
activities across assigned campuses.
Coordinates office relocations other operational support
functions.
Acts as representative of Campus Operations and as valued
member of TSU as part of the A&M system and performs other
duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination
of education and experience.
- Five years of related experience; including three years of
supervisory experience.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to manage priorities, deadlines, and time-critical
situations.
- Ability to multitask and work independently and
efficiently.
- Self-starter, proactive, and able to work under general
supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to
communicate clearly and effectively.
- Ability to work constructively and cooperatively with people
from diverse educational backgrounds, disciplines, and
professions.
- Ability to promptly respond to on-site emergency calls.
- Ability to manage, plan, and organize the overall building
maintenance and operations.
- Ability to be accountable, responsible, and dependable member
of the Campus Operations team.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Salary Range:
The target base annual salary range is $53,745 up to $76,321 and
may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate
experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this
position.
