Incumbent provides support and management for the Rehab Department. Responsible for managing daily operations, staff, and specialized programming within the Rehab Department. Actively engages in developing and carrying out companywide initiatives.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides administrative and clinical oversight to Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists.Manages daily operations.Manages efficient delivery of quality services and/or outcomes. Maintains awareness of growth and staffing trends. Ensures skilled services are in compliance with professional and clinical competency standards, state and federal regulatory requirements.Ensures all aspects of therapists’ documentation is completed in a timely and thorough manner consistent with CMS regulations.Consistently visits each center, providing regular in-person meeting opportunities with OT and Speech staff. Conducts regular staff meetings and provides communication to interdisciplinary team.Actively involved with each IDT and IDT process.Oversees implementation of policies and procedures. Leads program development and projects within Rehab. Participates in Quality Improvement projects. Leads development of memory care programming and provides direct administrative oversight to memory care units. Coordinates all duties with Manager of Physical Therapy. Provides managerial coverage as needed.Recruits, develops, mentors and motivates staff. Initiates and communicates a variety of personnel actions including employment, termination, performance reviews, salary reviews, and disciplinary actions.Provides skilled rehabilitation, including assessments and treatments, for growth and coverage as needed. Ability to pass a fit test. Position requires mask where seal is critical. Incumbent is required to not have facial hair that interferes with a tight seal of the respirator.Frequent local travel.Other duties as assigned.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Graduate of an approved Occupational Therapy or Speech-Language Pathology curriculum with active licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required. Must maintain Occupational Therapist or Speech-Language Pathology license and CPR certification. Minimum of 2 years of experience working with the geriatric population.Develops managerial skills through selected coursework, company training, and mentorship from the Director of Rehab.Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to lead independently and to be able to work well with others.Strong computer skills.COVID vaccinated preferred
