Job Description
The Manager of Student Events and Engagement provides operational leadership for the planning, coordination, and execution of major student events and engagement initiatives across all LMU-DCOM campuses. Reporting to the Senior Associate Dean of Student Affairs, this position supervises the Student Life staff and ensures a consistent, high-quality student experience through the successful delivery of Orientation, White Coat Ceremony, Hooding and Awards Ceremony, Commencement, the Spring Formal,…
Match Day, and other institutional events. The Manager also supports Student Life initiatives as needed while promoting a vibrant and engaging student experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience in event management, higher education, student affairs, hospitality, or a related field.
- Excellent organizational, project management, communication, and budgeting skills.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in higher education or medical education.
- Experience supervising staff and coordinating volunteers.
- Experience with event management software, marketing platforms, and budget management.

Job Duties
- Plan, coordinate, facilitate, and execute Orientation, White Coat Ceremony, Hooding and Awards Ceremony, Commencement, the Spring Formal, Match Day, and other college-wide student events.
- Develop event timelines, budgets, logistics, vendor relationships, contracts, and contingency plans.
- Ensure a consistent event experience across all campuses while accommodating campus-specific needs.
- Evaluate event outcomes and implement continuous improvements.
- Supervise Student Life staff across all campuses.
- Support student organizations, leadership programming, and engagement initiatives as needed.
- Collaborate with Student Affairs leadership to enhance the student experience.
- Coordinate with faculty, facilities, finance, marketing, admissions, alumni, vendors, and community partners.
- Develop and maintain event planning procedures and operational guides.
- Monitor budgets, purchasing, contracts, and inventories related to student events.
- Assist with other Student Affairs initiatives as assigned.
