The Role
The Marketing Campaigns Team is led by the Head of Marketing and Student Recruitment. The Marketing Campaigns Officer will report directly to the Marketing Campaigns Manager and is responsible for the development and delivery of marketing campaigns that are core to the University’s marketing and student recruitment strategy. The successful candidate will work across digital and traditional media.
The University will consider applications from those who wish to work in a hybrid manner, with some time working from home and some time based in the office. There will also be a requirement for successful candidates to attend Aberystwyth University Events on campus (Open Days, Applicant Events, Campus Tours, Clearing Call Centre) at various points in the year.

What you’ll do
This job description is subject to review and amendment in the light of the changing needs of the University, to provide appropriate development opportunities and/or the addition of any other reasonable duties.
- Work with the Head of Marketing and Student Recruitment and the Marketing Campaigns Manager to develop marketing plans for key recruitment campaigns across all markets.
- Lead on delivery of campaigns and projects, including being involved in the planning, creating assets, crafting messaging.
- Track, monitor and analyse campaign progress and effectiveness – producing reports (including budget and KPI tracking information) with recommendations.
- Contribute innovative and creative ideas for campaigns, messaging and marketing materials that stand out to prospective students.
- Work across digital and traditional marketing media, including social media, the website, CRM, online and printed publications.
- Develop and manage relationships with a range of stakeholders, including external partners such as creative and media booking agencies, UCAS, IDP and other educational partners, and internal colleagues across departments.
- Undertake market research to remain abreast of prospective student interests, market trends, competitor performance etc. Utilising this research in campaign planning and marketing ideas.
- Ensure the University’s brand is consistent across all marketing collateral.
- On occasion, represent the University at external and internal events including open days, UCAS exhibitions, Eisteddfod Genedlaethol etc. This could require national and international travel, and overnight stays.
- Be an enthusiastic and committed member of the team, willing to support colleagues across the department during peak times, including occasionally undertaking evening and weekend work.
- Undertake other duties as assigned by your line manager, commensurate with the role's grade.
