Offer Description
The Special Account for Research Funds (ELKE) of the University of West Attica plans to sign five (5) contracts for services with five (5) external collaborators. They will support the project "Pan-European Network for Responsible Artificial Intelligence Multisector Masters' Programme" (project code 81516), funded under the Digital Europe Programme call DIGITAL-2023-SKILLS-05 and co-funded by the European Union. Skills/Qualifications
Position 01 – Scientific Project Support: Data Protection, Responsible AI & Dissemination
Research field: Computer science; Communication sciences
Tasks: Supporting the development of self-standing training modules on data protection and responsible AI, and designing and running the project's communication and dissemination activities. Work packages: WP6 – Self-Standing Modules; WP7 – Communication & Scaling.
Required: A Bachelor's degree (university or former TEI) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Informatics or a related field, and a Master's degree in Networks and Data Communications or a related field.
Scoring (100 points):
- Proven experience in projects involving dissemination of results: 5 points per year, up to 35.
- Certified English: B2 earns 5, C1 earns 10, C2 earns 15.
- Publications on data protection and regulatory or ethical compliance (GDPR) related to Responsible & Human-Centred AI: 1 publication earns 10, 2 or more earn 20.
- Interview: 20.
Duration: Until 30/06/2027, extendable up to the end of the project.
Remuneration: Total cost up to €15,295, including taxes, legal deductions and all employee and employer social-security (EFKA) contributions.
Position 02 – Scientific Project Support: Machine Learning, Deep Learning & LLMs
Research field: Computer science; Engineering – Electrical engineering
Tasks: Developing the programme's educational material and digital tools, focusing on machine learning, deep learning and large language models. Work package: WP4 – Development.
Required: A university degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and certified excellent English (C2).
Scoring (100 points):
- Master's degree in Informatics, LLMs, Machine Learning or Deep Learning: 40.
- Work experience in EU-funded or otherwise funded projects in related fields: 1 project earns 10, 2 earn 20, 3 earn 30, 4 or more earn 40.
- Interview: 20.
Duration: Until 30/11/2026, extendable up to the end of the project.
Remuneration: Total cost up to €6,000, including taxes, legal deductions and all EFKA contributions.
Position 03 – Scientific Project Support: Applied ML/Deep Learning & Datasets
Research field: Engineering – Industrial engineering; Computer science
Tasks: Helping design the curriculum and develop educational material and practical machine- and deep-learning applications, such as computer vision. This includes preparing datasets for teaching. Work packages: WP3 – Design; WP4 – Development.
Required: A university degree in Industrial/Production Engineering or a related field, a Master's degree, and certified good English (B2).
Scoring (100 points):
- Technical expertise in ML and Deep Learning applied to practical problems: 30. Examples are CNN, YOLO or similar supervised models, used in computer vision, robotics or other AI fields.
- Work experience in EU-funded or otherwise funded projects in related fields: 1 project earns 10, 2 earn 20.
- Publications on AI, datasets or ML methods: 2 publications earn 10, 4 earn 20, 6 or more earn 30.
- Interview: 20.
Duration: Until 31/01/2027, extendable up to the end of the project.
Remuneration: Total cost up to €8,250, including taxes, legal deductions and all EFKA contributions.
Position 04 – Scientific Project Support: AI Law & Regulation
Research field: Juridical sciences
Tasks: Developing teaching content for the programme's self-standing modules on the legal and regulatory framework for AI: the AI Act, GDPR, intellectual property and technology law. Work package: WP6 – Self-Standing Modules.
Required: A university degree in Law or a related field, a Master's degree in a related field, and certified good English (B2).
Scoring (100 points):
- Specialised legal knowledge at the intersection of AI and law, with active work on the EU AI Act and GDPR/data protection: 30.
- Broad legal expertise beyond data protection, covering intellectual/industrial property, technology law and e-commerce: 30.
- Proven experience as a speaker or trainer at international seminars on data protection and individual freedoms: 20.
- Interview: 20.
Duration: Until 31/12/2026, extendable up to the end of the project.
Remuneration: Total cost up to €5,000, including taxes, legal deductions and all EFKA contributions.
Position 05 – Scientific Project Support: AI in Healthcare
Research field: Medical sciences – Health sciences
Tasks: Helping develop educational material and case studies on using AI in healthcare, drawing on experience in clinical studies, cost-of-illness analysis and patient quality-of-life assessment. Work package: WP4 – Development.
Required: A university degree in Medicine (MD), a Master's degree, and certified excellent English (C2).
Scoring (100 points):
- Experience designing and managing large-scale clinical studies or registries: 40.
- Expertise in cost-of-illness analysis and assessment of patients' quality of life: 40.
- Interview: 20.
Duration: Until 31/12/2026, extendable up to the end of the project.
Remuneration: Total cost up to €10,000, including taxes, legal deductions and all EFKA contributions.
The interview for every post scores 20 points: 5 each for communication and teamwork, understanding of the post's requirements, understanding of the project's goals and critical success factors, and overall presence.

Selection process
- An Evaluation Committee scores each candidate out of 100 points, using the criteria listed for that post.
- Candidates who don't meet every required qualification are rejected without scoring.
