The Rishi Raj Research Group, within the Paul M. Rady Department of Mechanical Engineering, is seeking a Materials Scientist. This position will work on electrical processing of materials via the flash method. The candidate will build systems and conduct experiments in the area of flash processing of materials with electrical fields and currents for the purpose of sintering and chemical refining. The role will contribute to system design and control for materials processing with electrical fields and current at high temperatures. They will also perform analysis of data and establish relationships between process parameters, microstructure and properties.
