• Teach 15 contact hours per semester. Assignments
  may include day and evening course times as well as coverage in Petoskey and NCMC's other off campus sites.
• Hold six (6) office
  hours per week at times convenient for student consultations.
• Prepare instructional materials and deliver instruction to students in
  a variety of formats and settings (including classroom, hybrid, online, flex, etc.)
• Provide timely feedback on students' progress,
  including evaluation of student work
• Work with Dean of Arts and Sciences to maintain updated master syllabi of courses and program
  outcomes.
• Prepare and submit required documentation including course syllabi, student attendance, final course grades, and other
  information required by the college.
• Engage in college service in the areas of curriculum development, program outcomes assessment,
  program review, and instructional improvement.
• Participate in the college governance structure and/or strategic planning process
  through committee service.
• Work with adjunct faculty in math and related fields.
• Other related duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master's Degree in Mathematics.
• Evidence of teaching
  competence.
• Online teaching experience
• Demonstrable interest in the exploration and use of new media and innovative
  andragogical techniques.
• Knowledge of adult learning theory, to include andragogical and assessment techniques appropriate to
  mathematics instruction.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills.
• Strong grasp of andragogy and curriculum related
  to teaching foundational/developmental mathematics.
• Knowledge of and commitment to the community college mission.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ph. D. in Mathematics.
• Recent experience teaching mathematics in a
  community college setting.
• Quality Matters or equivalent certification for online instructional design
• At least 18 graduate
  hours in a second cognate discipline (Physics, Engineering, etc.)
• Experience recruiting students
• Experience supporting
  persistence and retention of students
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• Activity in professional
  organizations.
• Experience with program assessment practices within a community college setting.
• Experience with
  institutional effectiveness planning and retention issues within a community college environment.
