Max Planck Research Group Leader (W2) (m/f/d)
We are an internationally leading research institute in the field of pure mathematics with about 700 guest scientists per year. We invite applications of outstanding mathematicians for a position as Max Planck Research Group Leader (W2) (m/f/d). The Max Planck Research Group is limited to a term of six years. The remuneration is based on remuneration group W2 of the Federal Civil Service Remuneration Act (Bundesbesoldungsgesetz – BBesG). Candidates must have a PhD and several years of postdoctoral research experience in pure mathematics. The Max Planck Institute for Mathematics cooperates closely with the University of Bonn and is part of the Hausdorff Center for Mathematics. Teaching and advising is possible and strongly encouraged. The Max Planck Research Group is limited to a term of six years. Depending on the progress of the work and taking into account the financial possibilities and those under labour legislation, your employment can be extended by three years on an individual basis according to scientific criteria and after a positive evaluation.
