The Arc Carroll County is seeking energetic and compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our Meaningful Day Program.
Schedule:
- 30 hours/week
- Monday–Friday
- Hours vary between 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
What You’ll Do:
- Support individuals in small groups and a 1:1 setting, completing person-centered activities and participating in small group activities
- Create and implement innovative and meaningful activities tailored to each person’s goals and interests
- Encourage skill development in job readiness, social skills, self-care, math, reading, and safety
- Provide personal care and mobility support as needed
- Assist with community access and transportation
- Promote independence, decision-making, and self-advocacy
- Document services and progress according to agency and state requirements
Pay & Benefits:

Requirements
- <ul><li>18+ years old</li><li>High school diploma or GED</li><li>Valid U.S. driver’s license with 2+ years driving experience</li><li>Ability to pass background, drug, and driving record checks</li><li>Basic computer and keyboarding skills</li><li>Ability to complete required training courses, including CPR, First Aid, Med Tech Certification, and other DDA-mandated training</li><li>Ability to lift and manipulate up to 50 lbs frequently and assist with transfers</li><li>Ability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pulling, and pushing</li><li>Ability to assist with wheelchair handling, transfers, and securing individuals safely in vehicles</li></ul><p><strong>Make a difference every day—apply today!</strong></p>
