Media Production Engineer
Provides operation, maintenance, and support of audio-video, analog and digital production equipment, TV studio cable distribution systems and related equipment.
- Installs, sets up, operates and calibrates analog and digital audio and video equipment, including Macintosh and PC computerized equipment.
- Diagnoses and repairs equipment failures and troubleshoots system-wide problems.
- Evaluates and proposes replacement equipment, configurations and modifications as needed.
- Provides technical support and training to faculty, staff and students.
- Manages student editing and equipment labs, and equipment checkout facility.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Additional Posting Information: Experience will be considered in lieu of education. Education will be considered in lieu of experience.
MQ: Requires specialized training in basic trades, principles, procedures, practice, routines or techniques in a specific area or trade which might normally be acquired through up to 18 months of education or training beyond the high school level. Vocational competence in the operation of mechanical or electronic equipment may be required. Requires a minimum of five (5) years of directly job-related experience.
