precision medicine implementation across Cook Children’s, integrating clinical care, genomic governance, and strategic program development.

This physician will play a central leadership role in implementing large-scale genome-informed care and leading industry sponsored clinical

trials for disease-modifying therapies—helping build one of the most advanced pediatric precision medicine programs in the nation. The

Medical Director will work closely with Dr. Lal, the Assistant Vice President and Executive Scientist for the Pediatric Precision Health

Program, to integrate clinical genetics into system-wide precision medicine initiatives. The role demands exceptional leadership and

mentorship skills to guide genetic counselors and interdisciplinary teams in delivering high-quality, personalized care.

Experience

• 2 years of post-graduate clinical practice providing direct patient care is required
• Demonstrated
• proficiency in medical assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient education, with strong commitment to evidence-based practice,
• interdisciplinary collaboration, and compassionate care delivery

Education

• MD or DO from an accredited
• institution is required
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency (Pediatrics or combined) and Medical Genetics & Genomics
• fellowship is required

License, Registration, and/or Certification:

• Current Physician licensed by the
• Texas Medical Board or eligible for Texas medical licensure by the Texas Medical Board is required
• Board certified/eligible by the
• American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics
• CPR - BLS required
