"Medical Lab Technician Certified - Blood Bank Laboratory - PM (166)"

To perform, check accuracy and report results of routine and moderately complex lab procedures on body tissues, fluids and/or other substances as specified by lab supervisor. To assure correct reagent preparation, quality control, troubleshooting and equipment maintenance within a section. To assist in the coordination of education, quality assurance or supervisory function within a section.

Qualifications: Associate's degree in a related field and one (1) year of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Blood Bank experience is preferred. Currently certified as a Medical Lab Technician (MLT) with the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or the American Medical Technologists (AMT) required.
