Job Description
The Department of Otolaryngology is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Medical Laboratory Technician to support the operations of the Allergy Clinic. This role is essential in the preparation, formulation, and delivery of allergy immunotherapy vials, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely service for patients and providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Allergy Immunotherapy Preparation
o Formulate and prepare allergy immunotherapy vials, including Sublingual Immunotherapy (SLIT/drops) and Subcutaneous Immunotherapy (SCIT/injections), in accordance with established guidelines and protocols. - Timely Production & Distribution
o Ensure accurate and timely preparation, packaging, and mailing of allergy vials when applicable. - Inventory & Supply Management
o Maintain accurate records of allergy-related supplies and coordinate purchases as needed to support uninterrupted clinic operations. - Quality & Compliance
o Adhere to laboratory safety standards, clinic policies, and regulatory requirements while maintaining meticulous documentation.
Shift
This position may follow either a four 10-hour day schedule or a five 8-hour day schedule Monday through Friday, depending on the operational needs of the clinic.
Minimum Qualifications
One of the following
--associate's degree from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician program; or
-- associate's degree in chemistry, biology, physics, or health science, and two (2) years of experience in a medical laboratory area; or
--associate's degree in chemistry, biology, physics, or health science, and completion of a military laboratory training program of at least one (1) year duration; or
--bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, physics, or health science.
Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary Range: $22.00 - $28.97 hourly
Grade: PAT - 007
