Medical assistant in pediatric and adolescent sports medicine at the Chair of Preventive Pediatrics, TUM School of Medicine and Health, Department of Health and Sport Sciences, Technical University of Munich, is sought after for a part-time/full-time position. No shifts are required. Previous medical experience in pediatric and adolescent or general medicine and sports medicine is desirable. The focus of the position is on scientific collaboration in the field of pediatric sports cardiology and prevention.
The Chair of Preventive Pediatrics conducts research in the field of cardiovascular prevention in childhood and adolescence. We conduct studies on cardiovascular risk screening in healthy and sick children and adolescents, as well as in pregnant women, to further investigate fetal programming for cardiovascular disease. Based on the results of these risk screenings, we develop lifestyle programs for pregnant women and chronically ill children and translate them into practice (e.g., KidsTUMove Camps). Our outpatient clinic conducts sports fitness screening for young athletes and conducts scientific studies on the cardiovascular adaptation of young athletes. To support our team, we are seeking a full-time or part-time clinical research assistant.
We expect:
Your active participation in our interdisciplinary research environment in the field of pediatric cardiovascular prevention and sports cardiology, as well as your clinical involvement in our sports medicine outpatient clinic for children and adolescents, a joint institution with the Clinic for Pediatric Cardiology and Congenital Heart Defects at the German Heart Center Munich, is expected. Participation in courses offered by the Department of Sports and Health Sciences is a given (Bachelor's and Master's programs in Sports and Health Sciences and Vocational Training in Health and Nursing Sciences).
Your profile:
We are looking for a highly motivated, responsible physician who can integrate into an interdisciplinary team of physicians, sports and health scientists and is interested in actively engaging with our scientific research topics. We expect clinical experience in pediatrics or general medicine. Additional expertise in echocardiography, sports or rehabilitation medicine is valued, as is basic teaching experience.
We offer:
A position as a clinical researcher with a salary according to the TVL-13 (German salary scale). The position is available immediately and limited to two years, with the possibility of extension. There is the opportunity for further scientific qualification (e.g., habilitation), including the possibility of partial recognition for a specialization in pediatric cardiology (training authorization in pediatric cardiology together with the German Heart Center Munich).
