About You
This role will require a Enhanced DBS Check with child's barred list. If you are included on a child barred list, you will be breaking the law by applying for this role.
Candidate will need the following:
- Educated to degree or equivalent level
- Membership of professional body related to the mental health field required
- Experience of offering individual clinical and non-clinical support to adults and young people with mental health disabilities.
- Experience of working within a Higher Education setting.
- Experience of risk management.
- Experience of managing complex cases and working collaboratively with other relevant services.
- Awareness of issues and barriers affecting students in Higher Education
- An understanding of the Disabled Student Allowances process.
- An understanding of mental health interventions to manage and improve wellbeing.
- Ability to identify and respond to risk.
- To be able to be flexible and responsive to emerging need.
- Good level of I.T. skills
- To be able to communicate effectively and build positive mentoring relationships with students.
- To be able to maintain appropriate records in accordance with Departmental systems and processes.
- To be able to operate within professional boundaries and confidentiality
- To be able to communicate effectively with staff in Wellbeing Support Services and with other external and internal partners

£35,608 to £46,049 per annum, pro rata
